Once you’ve completed the initial account set-up, Mobile Backup offers several custom configurations for your Fido.
Mobile Backup is configured to automatically backup your contacts on a weekly basis. You can also auto-backup your content, as well as select a custom daily, weekly or monthly backup schedule from the AutoSync menu. You can view and set your automatic backup settings by selecting SETUP > AUTOSYNC from the Mobile Backup main menu on your Fido.
During the account set-up, you’ll select a PIN to be associated with your account. Your PIN will also serve as your password to log in to your account at mobilebackup.fido.ca. If you want to change your PIN, select Setup from the main menu, and then option 3 - Change PIN. You’ll be prompted to enter your old PIN and then the new PIN you want to use. If you’re unable to remember your PIN, visit mobilebackup.fido.ca to have it sent to your Fido via text message.
Mobile Backup is currently available in English and French. If your language preferences on your phone are set to French, you will receive the French version of Mobile Backup. If your language preferences on your phone are set to English, you will receive the English version of Mobile Backup.
Mobile Backup will automatically backup your contacts, pictures, audio files and videos. Selecting Data Options - in the setup menu provides a list of items your phone can backup. By default, Mobile Backup will back up all items possible. If you don’t want to backup specific content, simply uncheck the box next to the name. To keep you fully protected, Mobile Backup recommends you keep these boxes checked at all times. For all Fido inquiries call 1-888-481-FIDO (3436).
